Lots of things!

Today Munchkin is 11 months old. I absolutely cannot believe it. How he has grown and my life has changed in the last 12 months!! I will leave it at that before I launch into a load of nostalgic nonsense. Aforementioned Munchkin is currently asleep on my chest strapped up in the sling. It’s very cosy. I am waiting for hubby to finish what he’s doing (he’s working upstairs) so that I can wake him up and we can all have lunch.

This weekend was very eventful. We all went to Cheshire for a family wedding (hubby’s cousin). It all went really well apart from the slightly damp weather. Munckin was extremely well behaved, ate everything that was put in front of him, went to bed at 7.30pm in our hotel room and slept until 6.30am in spite of us all being in the (small) room together! Munchkin’s Godmother (hubby’s second cousin) gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday (she was 2 weeks overdue!) and I have seen pictures this morning – she’s gorgeous!!

The allotment is doing ok although we haven’t been down since the severe winds on Sunday (hopefully we’ll go and check on it later). We have been harvesting broad beans for a few weeks and they’re coming to an end now. Munchkin absolutely loves them and eats them as though they were sweets. We’ve also been eating lettuces and radishes and I am looking forward to the new potatoes that are now ready!

Hubby seems to have suddenly got some momentum going on his PhD. Good thing really as it absolutely really has to be handed in by April 2009 or there won’t be a PhD. He’s arranged a couple of meetings with his supervisor and mentor over the next few months so I feel rather heartened that he might actually finish it! I suppose that means I will have a lot of proof reading coming my way quite soon….!

Anyway, hubby has now appeared for lunch so I’ll leave it there. Hopefully be with you again much sooner this time!
